Intertek Shanghai was awarded the "CNCA-C22-02: Toys" CCC accredited laboratory qualification. According to the "Announcement on the Daily Designation Decisions on the Third Batch of China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Implementation Bodies and the 2019 Third Batch of Laboratories" issued by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) in January. In Hong Kong, China, "Intertek Testing Services HK Ltd." Has successfully obtained the " Toys" CCC accredited laboratory qualification, basing on the policy of CEPA Agreement between the Mainland and Hong Kong early in December, 2011. And in October, 2019, Intertek Hong Intertek also accredited the Children‘s Vehicle laboratory qualification. What’s more, according to the policy of the latest Agreement amending the CEPA Agreement of Trade in Services, Intertek HongKong will provide CCC testing service on Toys which produced from oversea area besides China from June, 2020. As a result, Intertek will officially undertake the CCC certification inspection and testing of toys and children‘s vehicle, and provide professional and rapid localization services.

The announcement shows that just few CCC labs for toys and children‘s vehicle are selected nationwide and accredited by the CNCA in accordance with the principles of fairness, openness, and optimal use in 2019. Intertek was selected as one of the CCC implementation bodies, which benefited from China's policy of "accelerating the development of third-party inspection, testing and certification services", and also proven its strong laboratory capabilities and comprehensive management capabilities.

China Compulsory Certification (CCC) is a mandatory product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government to protect consumers' personal safety and national security, protect the environment, and demonstrate compliance with regulations. It requires products to comply with Chinese national standards and relevant technical specifications. The CNCA pointed out in the six specific reform measures regarding the designation of implementation bodies for undertaking CCC testing tasks that it will fully lift the "regional restrictions" of accredited laboratories and give play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation.
