Energy Star is a government program promoted jointly by the United States Department of Energy and US Environment Protection Agency since 1992. It adopts the strictest energy efficiency standard currently in the world, aimed to better protect the living environment and save energy. Through over 20 years of development, the program has become the authority label for the consumer electronic products sold in the North America market. To meet with the latest Energy Star requirement for air conditioners, Midea Household Air Conditioners set up special R&D team, and worked with Intertek to embed the Energy Star’s concept of high energy efficiency and technical requirement into every part of product design and production. They completed the energy efficiency upgrade for all their product lines in only half year, passed testing and certification to obtain the world’s first certificate of ENERGY STAR?
