China’s Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) approved < Regulation for Testing and Inspection Institutions Qualification Accreditation > (No. 163 by AQSIQ) on March 23th 2015, with implementation from Aug 1st 2015.

This regulation contains guidelines for product testing labs, including the provision of a mark used on test reports to indicate that the lab is recognized by a local authority.  According to Article 13 of the regulation, the content of the qualification accreditation certification must include licence-issuing authority, the name and address of certificate body, testing and inspection scope, term of validity, certificate number and qualification accreditation logo.

The logo of qualification accreditation certification consists of certificate number and the pattern which that is the acronym of China Inspection Body and Laboratory Mandatory Approval. Please refer to the example as below.

The implementation of this regulation means that CMA will be the only logo for qualification accreditation certification in China market. The CAL logo will not be renewed and will be withdrawn from use.
