The Recall Cases of Textile, Footwear and Accessories Products in October 2023
In October 2023, there were total 32 recall cases of textile, footwear and accessories products from the US, Canadian, EU and Australian markets. 19 of them came from China.
There are 7 physical recall cases from the EU market, including 1 case on burn injuries, 4 cases on injure risks and 2 cases on overheating.
There are 10 chemical recall cases from the EU market, all cases are against the REACH regulation, including 1 case also does not comply with the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation, and 1 case also does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive nor with EN 71-1.
There are 3 physical recall cases from the US market, including 1 case on burn injuries, 2 cases on choking hazard.
There is no chemical recall case from the US market.
There are 11 physical recall cases from the Canadian market, among which there are 3 cases on choking /and ingestion hazards, 2 cases on entanglement and vehicular dragging hazard, 6 cases on strangulation hazard (including 2 cases are also on vehicular dragging hazard).
There is no chemical recall case from the Canadian market.
There is 1 physical recall case from the Australian market, which is on choking, severe internal burn injuries or death.
There is no chemical recall case from the Australian market.
