On 6 August 2026, the European Commission proposed the implementing act regarding the format for packaging producer registration in, and reporting to, the national registers of producers and specifying the granularity of data to be provided and the packaging types and material categories to be covered by the information submitted.
In particular, the proposed implementing act lists the information to be submitted for the producer and its authorised representative (AR) for the extended producer responsibility (EPR). Among these, the name of the packaging producer (and brand name(s), if available), European or national tax identification number, and national identification code will be disclosed to the public.
