Further to GSO announcement on 29th June 2020, concerning the additional national requirements for specific products placed onto the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market, GSO has issued an updated announcement on 20th July 2020 with corrected deadline of the implementation date of the requirements as below.

| New G Mark Certificates (first-time certification) | 1st November 2020 | 30th June 2020 |
| Existing G Mark Certificates (Updates and Renewals) | 1st January 2021 | 15th July 2020 |
| Deadline for release shipment from the Port in KSA | 2nd February 2021 | 6th August 2020 |
If the Economic Operator does not comply with the requirement for existing G mark certificates, the Notified Body shall update the target countries in the certificate by removing the KSA until the manufacturer complies with these requirements.
The current harmonized standards for these two categories as published on GSO harmonized standards (www.gso.org.sa/hs) are still valid and shall be implemented when issuing G-Mark Certificates if one of the other GSO members states is one of the target countries on the certificate.
