On 1 September 2023, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has launched a public consultation on 6 potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The proposed substances in the consultation are listed as below. The deadline for commenting is 16 October 2023.

Note: Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (CAS No. 84-74-2) has been included in the SVHC Candidate List on 28 October 2008. Its current intrinsic properties are toxic for reproduction (Article 57(c)), and endocrine disrupting properties (Article 57(f) - human health).
