CEN has published new version of the standard EN 12983-1:2023 and EN 12983-2:2023 for cookware on Feb 22, 2023, which will supersede the previous standard EN 12983-1:2000/AC:2008 and CEN/TS 12983-2:2005. Compared with previous standards, new standards have more higher quality requirements on non-stick coating and ceramic cookware. Besides, PFAS are what we should concern because of the non-stich coating. Intertek Hardlines labs already have the full capacity for the new standards. Welcome kitchenware manufacturers and traders to contact us, to help you know more about the test requirements of the new standard for your products.
