On May 30, 2024, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has published a direct final rule to update the Safety Standard for Infant and Cradle Swings (16 CFR 1223). The regulation shall enter into force on September 14, 2024. 

According to the Standard, each infant and cradle swing (including combination swings) must comply with all applicable provisions of ASTM F2088–24, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Infant and Cradle Swings, approved on February 1, 2024.
