The three standards are scheduled to be given the status of national standards of CEN Member States by August 2025. |

On 26 February 2025, the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) published three test methods for toys:
The three standards were developed to provide test methods to check compliance with the limits in Appendix C to Annex II to EU Toys Safety Directive 2009/48/EC.
The three new standards will be given the status of national standards and the conflicting national standards will be withdrawn by August 2025 at the latest. The standards are expected to become harmonised standards under the Toys Safety Directive 2009/48/EC after they are accepted by the European Commission and are published on the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
