On 9 March 2026, the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched a public consultation on 15 potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The proposed substances in the consultation are listed below. The deadline for commenting is 20 April 2026. HSE will have 45 days from the end of the consultation to make a decision regarding the inclusion of the substance on the Candidate List of the UK.
In the EU, the 15 substances were identified as SVHC by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) during the 2021-2025 time period.
